In March 2016 Roger and Claudia Gehring founded Project Barnabas, Inc. and are now directing this local nonprofit.  Roger is an ordained pastor and has a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from the University of Tübingen.  Gehrings were with Campus Crusade for Christ for 35 years, 20 of those years in Germany in missional outreach to university students.  After leaving Cru they founded and directed Professionally Speaking, an outreach to business professionals in Portland.  Following that they were involved in planting a local church called Soli Deo Gloria.  ~~  From the beginning Nash and Kora Martinez have been partnering with Roger and Claudia helping in multiple ways to give leadership to the Project Barnabas ministry.  Nash is also on the board of directors for the nonprofit.

 

Project Barnabas – Mission Statement

Our mission is to help people become devoted followers of Christ, deepen their spiritual lives and become mature, multiplying spiritual leaders in the church through one-on-one mentoring, small Bible discussion groups and spiritual retreats.
